GLBT Organizations Build Bridges Between Generations of GLBT Storytellers
March - December: San Francisco, CA
The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Transgender (GLBT) Historical Society and the Lambda Literary Foundation have joined forces to celebrate the contributions of three generations of GLBT Storytellers. The two organizations will host a series of conversations, entitled 'Passing On The Pen,' designed to pair some of the pioneers of GLBT literature with today's emerging GLBT storytellers.

Manchester Gay Pride Prepares to ‘Come of Age’

Manchester’s Gay Pride ‘comes of age’ this year. And organizers hope that the 18th festival will be part of the biggest celebration so far in the city. The 2008 Manchester Pride Parade will take place on the afternoon of Saturday August 25, creating a carnival of color as it weaves through the streets of Manchester city center.

Get Ready for Gay Day with Girls in Wonderland
June 4-8: Orlando, FL
South Florida's top women's party producers Alison Burgos and Pandora Events expect more than 7,000 members of the estrogen set to attend their eighth annual Girls in Wonderland extravaganza June 4-8 in central Florida. The events, hosted by MTV star Dani Campbell (A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila), coincide with the 18th annual Gay Day at Walt Disney World and raise funds for the National Center for Lesbian Rights.

The True Colors Tour will hit the road again this summer with an exciting new line-up of legendary and up and coming artists, including headliners Cyndi Lauper, The B-52s, Rosie O’Donnell, Carson Kressley and many more. This year the tour is partnering with Center Link, the National Association of GLBT Community Centers, to highlight the important work of GLBT Community Centers across the country.

Philadelphia Announces Gay Summer Event Line-up

Increasingly gay-friendly Philadelphia recently announced a veritable stampede of events aimed at attracting LGBT visitors to the City of Brotherly this coming spring and summer. The upcoming Philly series of new and annual LGBT events includes the Liberty Stampede Rodeo and the Liberty Bell Classic, two major sporting event, along with five Pride events and other annual favorites.

London will again send out a message to the world through it’s annual Gay Pride that it is a diverse capital city that is a safe place for gay men and women to live or to visit. And this year’s event, with the massive parade through some of the capital’s best known streets on Saturday July 5, is to be bigger and better than ever, Pride London chair Paul Birrell promised this week.

Washington, D.C. to Host LGBT Economic Development Summit in November

Washington, D.C. will host the first Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Economic Development Summit later this year, according to Neil O. Albert, the city's deputy mayor for planning and economic development. The goal of the summit, which will take place on Nov. 3, will be to ensure that LGBT business leaders and entrepreneurs continue to play an important role in leading the economic and creative development of the city.
